【摘要】:EachFacilityRatingScaleinthisclassificationprovidesameansforestimatingthelevelofserviceabilityofabuildingorfacilityforonetopicofserviceability,andforcomparingthatlevelagainstthelevelofanyotherbuildingorfacility.Thisclassificationcanbeusedforcomparinghowwelldifferentbuildingsorfacilitiesmeetaparticularrequirementforserviceability.Itisapplicabledespitedifferencessuchaslocation,structure,mechanicalsystems,age,andbuildingshape.Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatetheamountofvarianceofserviceabilityfromtargetorfromrequirement,forasingleofficefacility,orwithinagroupofofficefacilities.Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatethefollowing:(1)serviceabilityofanexistingfacilityforusesotherthanitspresentuse;(2)theserviceability(potential)ofafacilitythathasbeenplannedbutnotyetbuilt;and(3)theserviceability(potential)ofafacilityforwhicharemodellinghasbeenplanned.Theuseofthisclassificationdoesnotresultinbuildingevaluationordiagnosis.Buildingevaluationordiagnosisgenerallyrequiresspecialexpertiseinbuildingengineeringortechnologyandtheuseofinstruments,tools,ormeasurements.Thisclassificationappliesonlytofacilitiesthatarebuildingconstructionsorpartsthereof.(Whilethisclassificationmaybeusefulinratingtheserviceabilityoffacilitiesthatarenotbuildingconstructions,suchfacilitiesareoutsidethescopeofthisclassification.)Thisclassificationisnotintendedfor,andisnotsuitablefor,useforregulatorypurposes,norforfirehazardassessmentnorforfireriskassessment.1.1Thisclassificationcoverspairsofscalesforclassifyinganaspectoftheserviceabilityofanofficefacility,thatis,thecapabilityofanofficefacilitytomeetcertainpossiblerequirementsforspecialfacilitiesandtechnologies.1.2Eachpairofscalesshowninprintedside-by-sideonapage,areforclassifyingonetopicofserviceabilitywithinthataspectofserviceability.EachparagraphinanOccupantRequirementScale(see)summarizesonelevelofserviceabilityonthattopicthatoccupantsmightrequire.ThematchingentryintheFacilityRatingScale(See)isatranslationoftherequirementintoadescriptionofcertainfeaturesofafacilitythat,takenincombination,indicatethatthefacilityislikelytomeetthatlevelofrequiredserviceability.1.3TheentriesintheFacilityRatingScale(See)areindicativeandnotcomprehensive.Theyareforquickscanning,toestimateapproximately,quickly,andeconomically,howwellanofficefacilityislikelytomeettheneedsofoneoranothertypeofoccupantgroupovertime.Theentriesarenotformeasuring,knowing,andevaluatinghowanofficefacilityisperforming.1.4Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatethelevelofserviceabilityofanexistingfacility.Itcanalsobeusedtoestimatetheserviceabilityofafacilitythathasbeenplannedbutnotyetbuilt,suchasoneforwhichsingle-linedrawingsandoutlinespecificationshavebeenprepared.1.5Thisclassificationindicateswhatwouldcauseafacilitytoberatedatacertainlevelofserviceability,butitdoesnotstatehowtoconductaserviceabilityratingnorhowtoassignaserviceabilityscore.ThatinformationisfoundinPracticeE1334.ThescalesinthisclassificationarecomplementarytoandcompatiblewithPracticeE1334.Eachrequirestheother.
