【摘要】:1.1ThisOutlineofInvestigationcoversrequirementsfortheconstructionandperformance,exclusiveofperformanceduringfiretests,ofportabledrychemicalfireextinguishersintendedforuseonresidentialcookingequipment.TherequirementsintheStandardforDryChemicalFireExtinguishers,UL299applytotheseextinguishersexceptthattherequirementsandtestscontainedhereinsupersedetheDischargeRangeTest,DischargeDurationTest,andspecificcriteriarelativetoMarking.1.2TherequirementsforperformanceduringfiretestingofthesedrychemicalfireextinguishersarespecifiedintheOutlineofInvestigationforTheFireTestMethodForPortableHand-HeldExtinguishersIntendedForUseOnResidentialCookingEquipment,711A.1.3Asusedintheserequirements,theterm“extinguisher”referstoallextinguishersoranypartthereofcoveredbytheserequirements,unlessspecificallynotedotherwise.1.4ThesedrychemicalfireextinguishersareintendedtobeutilizedinaccordancewiththeSpecialPurposeResidentialFireExtinguisherguidanceprovidedintheStandardforPortableFireExtinguishers,ANSI/NFPA10.
