【摘要】:ThisguidecoverstheevaluationandexpressionofuncertaintyofmeasurementsoffiretestmethodsdevelopedandmaintainedbyASTMInternational,basedontheapproachpresentedintheGUM.Theuseinthisprocessofprecisiondataobtainedfromaroundrobinisalsodiscussed.Applicationofthisguideislimitedtoteststhatprovidequantitativeresultsinengineeringunits.Thisincludes,forexample,methodsformeasuringtheheatreleaserateofburningspecimensbasedonoxygenconsumptioncalorimetry,suchasTestMethodE1354.Thisguidedoesnotapplytoteststhatprovideresultsintheformofindicesorbinaryresults(forexample,pass/fail).Forexample,theuncertaintyoftheFlameSpreadIndexobtainedaccordingtoTestMethodE84cannotbedetermined.Insomecasesadditionalguidanceisrequiredtosupplementthisstandard.Forexample,theexpressionofuncertaintyofheatreleaseratemeasurementsatlowlevelsrequiresadditionalguidanceanduncertaintiesassociatedwithsamplingarenotexplicitlyaddressed.Thisfirestandardcannotbeusedtoprovidequantitativemeasures.
